Starting Out: Boasts & Cross Courts 4.1 – WARM UP

Start every lesson with a fun and structured warm up so players get their bodies warm
(and help reduce the chance of injuries) and can get to know one another and feel ready
to play.

PHYSICAL

DYNAMIC STRETCHING
Include fun and squash specific stretches/movements. Teach the children some
dynamic stretches/movements and then have players stand in a circle and have each
players demonstrate a dynamic stretch for everyone else to do.
Leg swings, spiderman lunges and zombie walks are some good examples.

FUN GAMES
Including fun games is essential to the level of excitement and engagement of your
new beginner players. You want them to come back next week!

For more examples of fun games, please ‘Fun Games’ section.
