It is critical to use the appropriate ball to ensure that the session is both enjoyable and safe. Briefly explain to the teachers the squash ball possibilities for different levels and situations:
- RED MINI SQUASH BALL: IDEAL FOR ANY AGE TO GET STARTED IN THE SCHOOL GYM. The red mini squash ball is the largest, softest, and most bouncy of the mini squash ball collection.

- ORANGE AND GREEN MINI SQUASH BALLS: IDEAL FOR USE IN THE SCHOOL GYM AFTER A STUDENT HAS LEARNED BALL CONTROL. The orange and green mini squash balls have a slightly higher bounce and longer hang time than a pro double yellow dot ball (see below), but they still bounce lower than the red mini squash ball. The green ball is the same size as a typical professional squash ball, but the orange is somewhat larger.
- The following is information on regular black squash balls and the various ball choices a player has (see image to bottom right):
- DUNLOP INTRO BALL: Excellent transition from mini squash balls. This blue dot enables a player to hit the squash court sprinting. It is the most bouncy of the Dunlop ball family, designed to assist players master technique and skills fast and simply. The Intro ball is 12% larger and 40% more bouncy than a typical pro ball. This ball looks similar to a green mini squash ball.
- DUNLOP PROGRESS BALL: Ideal for casual players. This red dot ball has ideal playing features to assist a player learn correct technique and improve their skills. The Progress ball is 6% larger than a standard size pro or competition ball and 20% more bounce than the Pro ball.
- DUNLOP COMPETITION BALL: Same as pro ball, but slightly bouncier. Single yellow dot ball of standard size but 10% bouncier than the Pro ball. The Competition ball provides excellent performance and value for club play or cold courts, and it can make the game more entertaining by extending rallies due to the bouncier ball.
- THE DUNLOP DOUBLE YELLOW DOT PRO BALL: This is the top performance squash ball for professional, tournament, and club players. The World Squash Federation (WSF) and Professional Association (PSA) use this ball exclusively in professional international squash competitions.
