Today’s entertaining game is KICKBALL, which follows the same principles as ‘baseball’ but involves kicking the ball rather than striking it with a racquet.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Ball (must be soft, like a dodgeball).
- 4 rubber circles or cones (home plate and three bases).
- Players kick the ball, therefore no racquet is required.
SET UP:
Set up home plate and three bases around the playing area. One circle/cone serves as home plate for kickoffs. The other three circles/cones are the first, second, and third bases.
Two teams: one team kicks and one team fields, with one fielder at each base. Once three batters have been out, switch over.
RULES:
- ‘Pitch’ is tossing the ball underarm so that it bounces before the kicker.
- Play one inning, so both teams can bat.
- A kicker is out if they kick three strikes.
- If the fielder catches the ball in the air.
- If the ball is tossed to the ‘pitcher’ or caught by a fielder on the base while the runner is between bases.
- If the kicker successfully kicks the ball and advances to first base. All kickers must advance ahead to the next base.
- A team run is scored when a kicker goes safely to all bases and crosses home base (4th rubber circle or cone).
- The team with the most runs wins.
