PLAY THIS VIDEO TO LEARN HOW TO DO THE PARTNER COOPERATIVE STRAIGHT RALLIES ON THE FOREHAND & BACKHAND

Now it’s time to go from feeding to cooperative rallies. This is when a ‘READY POSITION’ is essential, so the racquet does not fall down by the feet and is ‘ready’ to play any shot as quickly as possible.

  • COOPERATIVE STRAIGHT FOREHAND PARTNER RALLY:
Two students hit as many consecutive shots as possible (working together) on the forehand side of the court without making any mistakes.
  • If in a group, when the rally breaks down, switch the students around.

COOPERATIVE STRAIGHT BACKHAND PARTNER RALLY:
Perform the exercise described above on the backhand side.

  • COOPERATIVE STRAIGHT FOREHAND GROUP RALLY
Four or five players participate in this rally, striking the ball one after the other on the forehand side alone, then moving out of the way for the next person to hit it. Working together to hit as many consecutive shots on the forehand side as possible with no errors.
  • Every time the rally breaks down, switch which student starts it.

COOPERATIVE STRAIGHT BACKHAND GROUP RALLY:
Perform the exercise described above on the backhand side.
