SQUASH SIMON SAYS RULES: The teacher must demonstrate and explain to the students the five Simon Says Squash actions that they must memorize. Please see the photos above for the 5 positions.
1: Ready Position (racquet out front)
2: Forehand lunge (to the side, left foot forward if right-handed, opposite for left-handers, racquet up and back)
3: Forehand swing (swing the racquet through)
4: Backhand lunge (to the side with right foot forward if right-handed, opposite for left-handers, racquet up and back)
5: Backhand swing (swing the racquet through)
Learn the actions for each number and repeat the five stages three times with students.

ACTIONS:
- The teacher stands in front of the students, who are safely distributed across the gym, to provide directions. If the teacher begins an action with the phrase “Simon Says,” the students should follow the order.
- To teach the proper lunge and swing, start with the following order and gradually vary it as students comprehend the techniques. #1, #2, #3, #1, #4, and #5, indicating that the student is switching from forehand to backhand.
- The teacher continues to provide orders before transitioning to giving directions without stating “Simon Says”.
- Students must sit out if they obey an order that does not begin with “Simon Says” or fails to perform the proper ‘squash’ action to the number announced.
- Call out any number between 1 and 5 at random, with or without “Simon Says” until only one student remains.
VARIATION: The student who wins the first round may issue the commands for the next round.
