THIS VIDEO TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE FUN OFFENSE/DEFENSE TEAM GAME
Offense/defense is a team game played on two courts, nets or walls. There is one team on each court. Make the team order from #1 down.

EQUIPMENT: Each team member will receive a racquet and one squash ball.
RULES OF THE GAME: Players of all skill levels are welcome. Adjustments to the serve can be used if needed: 1. Serve from the bounce. 2. Only serve above the line to the other half.
- Choose what each team member (defender) will play up to based on the time available. Begin by playing up to five.
- The rallies are played in the whole court area if played on a net or wall, and just in ¾ of the court if played on a squash court. This allows the team to safely wait in one quarter while not playing in the rally.
- One team member from each team will be the ‘defender’ and will switch to the other court to play against the opposite team (start with the lowest number, for example #5). The defense does not serve and instead receives serves from the offending team. Only count points won by the defender.
- The #5 from each team plays until the first defender scores 5 points. Winning the round will award their team one point.
- Both #5s return to their respective teams, and the #4s switch to play until one defender reaches 5 points, and so on.
- Play through the entire team (from #5 to #1), and the team with the most points from all rounds is the winner.
VARIATION: This version of Offense/Defense does not end when a player reaches 5 points to swap over. Each team member of both teams changes whenever they achieve 5 points. This variety has fewer stops and starts but can be a little stressful. It is recommended that students begin with the first version and progress to the second once they have a thorough understanding of the game.
