Tournament Guide For Parents 101 – BUILDING A SUPPORTIVE SQUASH COMMUNITY! 2.0

MAKE FRIENDS – KEEP IT FUN!!!

1. As you and your child begin the tournament journey, lean into the squash community around you. Forming friendships—both for players and parents—can make the experience more fun, enjoyable and rewarding.

    2. Children are more likely to stay involved in squash, especially into their teen years, when they associate the sport with fun and friendships alongside competition.

    3. You can also strengthen your local squash circle by encouraging friends to attend the same tournaments. While they may occasionally compete against each other, learning to play hard and fair with friends is a valuable life lesson. The support and joy from these connections far outweigh any temporary rivalry.
